Analytical Procedures
March 31, 2003
Introduction
The proper operation of any process requires
monitoring of various process parameters including temperature, pressure, flow,
concentration, product quality, etc. Many of these parameters can be monitored
on-line using instrumentation. Some parameters can not be monitored on-line and
require sampling and laboratory analysis to determine if the process is operating
properly.
The proper operation of an acid plant requires
many different analytical procedures. Some tests are done once a day, while others
are on a less frequent basis (i.e. weekly, monthly) or only when problems occur in the
plant operation.
