SLOVNAFT Plc., based in Bratislava is refinery with annual processing capacity of 5,5 – 6 mil ton. The company core business is production, warehousing, wholesale and retail sales and distribution. SLOVNAFT Plc. dispose with the largest retail network in SK offering top quality motor fuels and lubricants as well as related customer services including shop, gastro service, car wash and some others.
The impressive feature of SLOVNAFT refinery, which has been essentially  restructured and  technologicaly  upgraded within last 10 years is its high complexity, due to high conversion factor and processing flexibility, ranking refinery to the TOP 3 in Europe.
Installed technologies of conversion and massive deep hydrodesulfurisation  enable  production and sales of  top quality sulfur-free fuels only.
Adequate storage capacities, automatized blending equipment, rail and road trucks loading galleries, product pipelines connecting refinery stocks with Danube river port and distribution terminals, the netvork of several inland depos  together with two daughter companies operating on the key foreign markets - SLOVNAFT Polska a SLOVNAFT CZ – are creating the background of an active marketing and flexible logistics of motor fuels all over the Slovakia and neighbouring countries. Top quality of fuels from SLOVNAFT   is a strong competitive advantage, illustrated by the fact that up to 80 % of production is exported, mainly to the markets of EU member countries.
SLOVNAFT entered into strategic partnership with MOL Rt. in year 2000, since 2004 is   an integral part of successful MOL Group www.molgroup.hu, leading vertically integrated centraleuropean petroleum corporation.
Starting from July 1, 2006 all petrochemical activities of SLOVNAFT have been unbundled to a new
100 %-daughter company of SLOVNAFT – SLOVNAFT Petrochemicals, Ltd. The core business of the new company covers production and sales of petrochemical products, predominantly wide range of polyethylene and polypropylene. SLOVNAFT´s petrochemical business, transferred into the new daughter company, will continue operations on integrated basis within the MOL Group together with the TVK in Hungary.
The new PP3 production unit in SLOVNAFT and the new HDPE in TVK Tiszaújváros with combined annual output of 1.2 million tons of plastics ranks MOL Group among the biggest producers of plastics in Central Europe as well as among significant players on the whole European market.
