General	Zijin Mining Group Co., Ltd. is a mining company focused on exploration and development of gold and base metals. The Company has six operating segments. The mine-produced gold segment is engaged in the production of gold bullion through the Company's integrated processes, which includes mining, processing and refining. The processed gold segment is engaged in the production of gold bullion by refining gold ore. The copper cathodes segment is engaged in the production of copper cathodes. The zinc bullion segment is involved in the production of zinc bullion. The ore concentrates segment comprises, principally, the production of gold concentrates, copper concentrates, zinc concentrates and iron concentrates, and the corporate and others segment comprises, principally, the production of vitriol, copperplate, silver and iron. During the year ended December 31, 2009, it produced a total of 75,372.67 kilograms (2,423,286 ounces) of gold.

News	September 5, 2019 - Zijin Mining on Monday September 2 took a further step towards the commissioning of its copper smelting project in north China’s Heilongjiang province, adding feed to the facility, according to a report by the company on its WeChat account.The project, which is designed to produce a maximum of 150,000 mt of copper cathode and 600,000 mt of sulphuric acid a year, started trial production on August 18. August 19, 2019 - Zijin Mining's copper smelter in north China’s Heilongjiang province started trial production on August 18, SMM learned on Monday August 19. Upon full operation, the smelter could produce 150,000 mt of copper cathode and 600,000 mt of sulfuric acid per year. Its annual production value is expected to reach 10 billion yuan. July 31, 2019 - Zijin Mining Group, a Chinese nonferrous metals producer, will put 150,000 mt/year of new capacity for copper cathode online at its smelter in Heilongjiang province on August 18, SMM learned on Wednesday July 31. Initially constructed in May 2017, the smelter also has annual capacity of 600,000 mt sulfuric acid, 3 mt gold, and 50 mt silver.
