News	August 26, 2001 - The first-phase 500,000 t/a unit of the 1.0 million t/a compound fertilizer project in Guizhou Xiyang Fertilizer Co., Ltd. started production in Guizhou Xifeng County on Aug. 9. It is the biggest sulfur-based compound fertilizer project in China with cooperation between the western region and the eastern region. The first phase has an investment of 400 million yuan and a capacity of 500,000 t/a compound fertilizer, 400,000 t/a sulfuric acid and 100,000 t/a phosphoric acid. Qualified sulfuric acid was produced on July 22. Qualified phosphoric acid was produced on July 29.
