General Wylton (China) Chemical Co., Ltd is a solely-owned enterprise incorporated by Wylton International Limited and Wylton Canada Limited in Guizhou province, with a registered capital of US$18.87 million and total assets of over RMB390 million. In 2002, the company invested RMB130 million to build up a set of 400kt-per-year Sulphuric Acid facility which was put into operation in July 2003. In the same year, the facility passed the performance tests, most of the indexes leading in the industry. In December 2004, another RMB120 million was invested to build a second set of 400kt facility and the total Sulphuric Acid capacity reached 800kt by October 2005.

The company is located in the factory area of Wengfu (Group) Co., Ltd., which is the largest phosphate fertilizer producer in
China. The water and electricity required for production are supplied from Wengfu (Group). The final product high-quality Sulphuric Acid (SA) is transferred by pipelines and used for Wengfu (Group)’s phosphate fertilizer production, and medium-and-low-pressure steam are all sold to Wengfu (Group) for power generation. Wylton (China) has forged close strategic cooperation partner relationship with Wengfu (Group). This win-win situation not only brings advantages of both sides, but also lowers mutual operational costs.

To ensure efficient and stable operation, Wylton (
China) introduced a set of advanced SA production facility from
Canada after sound research and analysis. The initial designer was Chemetics, a renowned design company in SA industry. Wylton (China) also invited Nanjing Chemical Design Institute, which is the leading sulphur-based SA manufacturing design institute in China, to prepare the blueprints. Highly experienced contractors were chosen through public bidding for erection and installation, also professional project managers and engineers were hired for project management, to build up two sets of modern and domestic leading sulphur-based SA manufacturing facilities. While learning from the most valuable experience in the worldwide Sulphuric Acid industry, Wylton (China) focused on the choice of equipment suppliers to guarantee the high performance of facilities with a great deal of capital, which included Lewis Pumps (USA), the famous industrial pump producer; Elliot (Canada), the renowned industrial fan producer. Others included Haldor Topsoe, the Danish catalyst producer; Begg Cousland, the British defroster producer. In addition, sulphur, the major raw material, was purchased from Shell Canada and Husky Energy, two main leading sulphur suppliers inCanada. Besides, an Automatic Checkout System and a DCS system were installed to achieve high-throughput and ensure long-term stable operation of production system. Thanks to all these efforts, Wylton (China) has been leading in the domestic acid-making industry in different indexes, such as power consumption, sulphur consumption, conversion ratio, tail gas emission, etc.

After 7 years of development, Wylton (
China) has become a star enterprise inGuizhou province both in terms of profit contribution and environmental protection. The total taxes paid since it has been put into operation reached 130 million. Since 2004, Wylton (China) successfully passed ISO9000, ISO14001 and OHSAS18000 "Three-in-One" management system certification, and been rewarded with many honors of provincial, prefectural and municipal levels as advanced enterprise, star enterprise, environmental protection enterprise, etc.

January 11, 2010 - China Energy Recovery, Inc., which designs, manufactures and installs waste heat energy recovery systems, today announced it signed an 18 million RMB (US $2.6 million) engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with sulfuric acid producer, Wylton (Dazhou) Chemical Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of Wylton (China) Chemical Co., Ltd. to build and install a low-temperature waste heat recovery system for Wylton's 800,000 ton-per-year sulfuric acid plant.  CER received an initial payment equal to 20 percent of the contract amount from Wylton. The remainder of the contract will be remitted over the course of the project, which is scheduled for completion in December 2010.  "CER has considerable background and experience in providing waste heat recovery systems for large-scale sulfuric acid plants and we are grateful to Wylton Chemical for providing this opportunity to apply our expertise," CER Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Qinghuan Wu, said.

September 22, 2005 - Wylton (China) successfully conducted its load commissioning of the second sulphuric acid plant on 22nd of September. The construction of this new plant was launched in September last year. All Wylton (China) employees made efftorts to ensure the smooth operation of the new plant. The project adopts the Robinson fans, Lewis sulphur pumps and sulphuric acid pumps that Wylton sells in China. The sulphuric acid production capacity reached 1200t/d in average and 1263 t/d to the highest. The general conversion ratio rose to 99.85% 10 hours after the commission started and the general absorbing ratio reached 99.995%. All figures show the equipment works well. The outstanding operation of this commission marks the milestone for the Wylton sulphuric acid project that has stepped into its new era.
