Tefken Group, 100% of Toros sulphuric acid requirements for fertilizer

| General | Akdeniz Fertilizer Industry was established in Mersin as a Kuwaiti-Turkish joint venture for the production of chemical fertilizers in 1968 and began production in 1972. Following a facilities rehabilitation project between 1984 - 1987 that made renovations, the operation has been a part of Tekfen Holding since 1990. Akdeniz Fertilizer has merged with Toros Fertilizer on March 31, 2005 and the company has changed its name to Toros Agri-Industry and Trade Co.Inc in November 2005.Today the operations continue as Toros Agri Mersin Facility. Toros Agri Mersin Facility is a complex of covered and open-air storage and five production units, their support facilities, and a bagging facility for the production of fertilizer with Amonium Nitrate (containing %26-%33 Nitrogen ) and Diamonium Phosphate (%18 Nitrogen and %46 P 20 5) as well as other components for fertilizer production such as Sulfuric Acid, Phosphoric Acid and Nitric Acid. | |
