April 30, 2012 - Suhail Chemical Industries LLC (SCI) has been accredited with ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System certification by Velosi Quality Management International.  Established in 1999 SCI manufactures high grade sulphuric acid in various specifications and concentrations. The range includes Technical Grade 98 per cent, Battery Grade 98 per cent and Diluted Battery Grade 37 per cent.  The plant is located at Sohar and is sized at 40 TPD output with facility to offer the products in various concentrations and currently utilising 80 per cent of the total plant capacity. The product can be offered in carboys (Jerry cans) of various capacities as well as shipped in containers or dedicated road tankers/trucks.  The plant is running round the clock and equipped with sophisticated online monitoring facilities as well as computerised process control (SCADA System). The laboratory is equipped with sophisticated equipment to assure quality of the raw material as well as finished goods.  SCI procures the raw material locally for the manufacturing of sulphuric acid and also contributes in generating local employment since beginning. It is also a 100 per cent Omani origin product. Sulphuric acid has a wide range of uses ranging from electrolyte battery acid, Ph correction in reverse osmosis plant and many other industrial applications.  Considering the hazardous nature of the chemical product, SCI takes utmost care in handling and delivering the products to the end user safely. Over the last one decade, the company has established itself as the leading manufacturer and supplier of high quality sulphuric acid. SCI-quality products are not only used in the GCC countries but also exported to Africa, Yemen and Sri Lanka.
