General Kirovgradskiy copper smelter was established in 1957 by consolidation of three independent enterprises (copper smelter, chemical plant and mine administration) with united technological scheme of mining and Ural copper-zinc ore treatment. In 2001 production facilities of ZAO “KMK” were included in the structure of Uralelectromed as polymetal production under tenant right.
The company is carrying out upgrading of production and integrating new environmentally-friendly technologies to process copper-zinc ore, lead and lead-tin cakes and dusts remaining after UMMC’s production.
