News	June 19, 2012 - China’s Guangxi Luzhai Fertilizer shut down its 240,000 tonne/year diammonium phosphate (DAP) plant at Guangxi in south China on Tuesday, a company source said.“The company shut the plant in light of weak demand in the domestic market,” the source added. “Additionally, [bids] for DAP from Indian buyers stood at $560/tonne [€442/tonne] FOB [free on board], which is too low to make profit for us.”The plant can produce 240,000 tonnes/year of DAP and 100,000 tonnes/year of monoammonium phosphate (MAP).The shutdown is not expected to have a significant impact on the domestic market because the plant’s capacity in the region is small, the source added. December 21, 2011 - China’s Guangxi Luzhai Fertilizer Company has restarted its 240,000 tonne/year diammonium phosphate (DAP) plant at Guangxi in south China, a company source said on Wednesday.The company shut the plant on 13 December because it shut its feedstock 120,000 tonne/year phosphoric acid unit at the same site for maintenance on the same date, the source said.The restart will not have a significant impact on the domestic market because the plant’s capacity is small, the source added. September 16, 2000 - The 240 000 t/a DAP project in Guangxi Luzhai Chemical Fertilizer Co., Ltd. has recently passed the acceptance appraisal conducted by the appraisal committee and the experts' group. It is one of the major projects of the state during the Ninth Five-year Plan period. The project has a total investment of 2.2 billion yuan and includes a 400 000 t/a sulfuric acid unit, a 120 000 t/a phosphoric acid unit, a 60 000 t/a ammonium unit, a 240 000 t/a DAP unit, a 6 000 t/a aluminum fluoride unit and matching facilities.
