April 4, 2016 - Marcelino Quispe, President of Comibol notes that a contract has been signed for a long time to rehabilitate the Sulfuric Acid Plant in Eucalyptus, an agreement reached, however, said agreement states that during the past management, the infrastructure should be transferred to the Insurance Corporation Social Military (Cossmil), provision complied by Comibol.Quispe explained that they did not consolidate the assets and expenses, so they continue with that work. The plant project in Eucaliptus was generated because the mining company Coro-Coro requires sulfuric acid, however, to learn that is not producing the chemical supply gave place based on the import of the chemical from Chile, at the lowest price.  In the country, the Metallurgical Company of Karachipampa in the mining-metallurgical process has the projection of generating enough sulfuric acid for the mining-metallurgical industry, just as the zinc refinery plants as a by-product are going to produce sulfuric acid. Projection that allows to think that Bolivia could become an exporting country of this chemical.
