| General | Established in 1959, Zhuzhou Smelter is a large lead-zinc smelter built 
	after the founding of the People’s Republic of China and is still the 
	largest lead-zinc smelter in China, with total lead and zinc output of 
	300,000 tons. Technical indexes of the plant and economic results are both 
	the best in China, especially the most comprehensive use of rare scattering 
	metals and highest recovery of cadmium and bismuth, etc. Zhuzhou Smelter Group Co.,Ltd is principally engaged in the processing, manufacture and sale of zinc products, lead products, sulfur dioxide and other metal materials. During the year ended December 31, 2007, the Company obtained approximately 72.5% and 14.6% of its total reveue from its zinc products and lead products, respectively. In 2007, the Company produced approximately 509,300 metric tons of zinc and lead products. The Company distributes its products within the domestic market and to overseas markets. As of December 31, 2007, the Company had nine major subsidiaries. | |

| News | 2009 - Outotec designed and delivered the zinc plant expansion of annual 100. 000 tons of zinc for Zhuzhou smelter owned by the leading Chinese zinc producer, Hunan Zhuye Torch Metals Co. Ltd. The committed work and co-operation between Outotec and Zhuzhou generated process improvements and optimization, reached target values as well as prosperous partnership. The plant was commissioned in 2009. The delivery included atmospheric leaching of zinc concentrate, goethite precipitation and arsenic based solution purification processes, key equipment supplies as well as automation, supervision of installation and commissioning. The plant produces zinc in an environmentally sound way with the latest technology and enabling utilization of wider selection of zinc concentrates. Outotec's atmospheric leaching of zinc concentrate is rated as a Best Available Technology (BAT) by European Union. | |
