| General |
Tronox acquired the Uerdingen titanium dioxide (TiO2) pigment
plant from Bayer in 1998. The Tronox Uerdingen plant has an annual
production capacity of 107,000 tonnes of titanium dioxide. The facility uses
the sulfate process to produce pigments used in plastics, paint, paper and
other specialty industries. TiO2 operations began at Uerdingen in 1957. |
